just like in the 1997 mchale's navy movie but instead of what ever explosives they i just need 4 fire crackers to do what they did but a little better in better i mean more hull damage

If you want to do some home made smoke effects i can give you the recipe - i mean, the effect is AWESOME, and you'd need to do it outside

Yeah this is true, but these really are safe, unless you were to make a few gallon of the stuff
