Hello gentlemen,

thank you as always for your comments; for tonight the next update. The windlass, the kitchen vent, the fore- and the mainmast are found its places. I did a spare rigging of the masts; only to gave an imagination. The customers feel free to add more.
I add the stern light; the position can be seen on the picture. And the little stage at the bow should be okay.

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

The length of this Tugboat seems to indicate a fast moving ship, her waterline length adding to her hull speed (get to the ship faster, make the money first). The clear deck is to allow for various towing conditions, as demonstrated in the attached photo. The clear rear deck allows for the cables to swing a various angles, greatly allowing for changing circumstance.

Hello Zathros,

in quiet water like a harbour absolutely right, but in rough water like the North Sea with a barge or a steerless vessel on the hook ... halleluja ...

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

Indeed! I did notice this model does not appear to have a towing bitt behind the house and was wondering whether that was a feature found in the original.

As always, beautiful work, Wilfried! Quite an impressive build and fine, clean details!

Cheers!
Jim

These 2 drawings I found explain the towing arrangement. I tried to explain it using words, but ran out. I had to use "Print Screen" to "Paint" to save, as the website would not allow me to. These are drawings of the Acklam Cross by the way. They can be found here.:

Thanks, Zathros! I imagine Wilfriend just hasn't added that detail yet to his build; I thought I saw what seemed to be a tow bitt attached to the rear of the house in Avery's earliest drawing.

Loving this model more and more!

Cheers!
Jim
