Thank you all for your kind comments on my build.

Nemesis - The “model” cat in the background actually had run off with one of the pieces of the superstructure that I was assembling. I found this piece underneath the curtains where the cat likes to hide. The tooth marks were on the inside of the assembly so I just glued it onto the model.

Chris – Note that this is my first completed model. There are two other versions of the V-108 that were abandoned.

B-Manic – Thank you for your V-108 build. It was an inspiration and a guide for me.

Have Fun!

Urgh! I feel your pain with the model-eating cat situation. I have one of those, myself.

How do you do the railings around the deck at such small scale? Fantastic build I must say.

Papermate,

I was researching my next build, the coastal freighter Emiliana, and I saw how they built deck railings with a jig on their website here:

Coastal Freighter Emiliana

So I went back to my V-108 and installed them as a final touch. I just kept thinking about all of the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration here in the U.S.) regulations. They would not like my model if it did not have handrails to prevent crewmen from falling overboard.

Have Fun!

New Stand

I have remade the stand for my V-108. I think it looks much better than the slapped together stand that I had first made.

After a few other projects that I have abandoned, I am now working on the Digital Navy Battleship Oregon (BB3). I hope to post some pictures of this soon.

Have Fun!

Looking forward to your Oregon.
I like Roman Detyna's ships, so I always enjoy watching people build them.

Doesn't look like a first ship build. Are you sandbagging us?
