Here's a novel idea for your workbench. Comes under the heading "unused kitchen items", and I can credit my wife for this idea. It is a mold for making popsicles and great for holding your most used tools......including that upside down container of tacky glue to pour immediately after the container becomes half empty!

So now I'm skinning the hull and as you can see, I started just a hair off on the stern. Next, I continued from the bow to hopefully meet in the center of the starboard hull but no such luck. There is a gap (I'm sure of my own making) that will have to be patched.......more battle damage! Port side was ok. Now don't get me wrong, these mistakes are of my own making and no reflection on the quality if this gorgious model. Just my first full hull.

How would you guys out there handle this patch job? Looking for advise.

There are no doubt better ideas out there, but I would just print another side and cut and paste a new piece for the gap.

How did you get the model to hover over the workboard?

Thanks for the tip guys. Will get right to it........

Don.......regarding the model hovering over the work surface....
It's called Soft-Touch Foam Cradle for the Model Railroader. Available from the Micro-Mark catalog. $12.10 US. I have found it just great for ships.
It has two different size troughs. Holds your ship steady for gluing parts or photo work.
