Once again, Jan, what is your technique for creating the gold decorations?

cdavenport: the technique is practically the same as Doris is using.

I´m using Modurit - the material hardening by heat. For small parts I´m preparing pieces of the material, and forming it by anything I have - tweezers, knife, toothpick, etc. Bigger parts I´m doing by parts ( like angels - at first body, then wings, head... ) Then I bake them at 130 degrees in the oven.

It´s hard to say how to do it exactly - it mostly depend on your skill and patience

Jan

Dear friends,

I did a part of decoration on the aft mirror. There should be coat of arms, the crown an the statue of the godmother - they all are there I put there two angels from each side - I think it´s better now.

I also made statuettes inside the ship - I changed these ones you know from the Corel or Mantua by statuettes of saints ( I hope it looks similar )

I have to do a part of decoration to fill empty spaces on the mirror

Jan

Several more views on the ship:

Hello Jan,
Superb work and very artistic. The decorations are so well done, but I also like the blue parts of the color scheme.

Thank you, Jan, for that explanation! I have used similar techniques. I just wanted to make sure you weren't doing those details out of paper. If you were, I was going to hang up my spurs and retire!

Beautiful creativity in your work, Jan!

Dear friends,

the decoration is finished. I won´t put there no more pieces - I think I have there twice more than on other Couronnes The galion figure I put there like the last one.
The hull is completed, railing is finished, some small pieces I put during next progress ( hang ip the rudder, gunport lips ).
I´m going to mast and rig her

Jan
