What ship is it??
I was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City over the weekend. They had a small exhibit in their photography area of amateur "snapshots". Most were bloopers. One of them was this picture that appears to be a US treaty cruiser (Pensacola or Northampton class) taken in the 30's.
Now if only that guy would move so I can get a better look!! russ...

Maybe the photographer was trying to take a photo of the guy rather than the ship. Who knows, maybe that's the hairline of a young John F. Kennedy!

By studding just what I can see of the ship I am 99.9% sure it is the USS Pensacola, but I might be wrong.
EDIT: But then again it could be the USS Houston, USS Chester, or USS Salt Lake City |
