Bah, for some reason my browser keeps wanting to close on me.

Masséna is difficult to model for a variety of reasons and I hope that Mike will forgive me for its not-perfect portions.

To my thinking, she is one of the three Jewels of French battleship creation: Masséna, Charles-Martel and Carnot. For Masséna there are plans and ample photos. For Charles-Martel, few plans but many, many photos. I need to do an up to date model of her. The funnel bases keep causing me angst but I did well with the rest. Of course, without drawings, the under-hull will need to be guessed at.

But the jewel of them all is Carnot. A great slab sided vessel with the appearance of a block of flats, cruising on the ocean. Everything that could go wrong, did so on that ship. Bad engines, horrible handling (just look at the photos!) and the guns eventually sagged. How much I want to build her!!! But no plans and no clear photos of her upper deck. Grr and double grr.

Anyway, I'm looking at Neptune right now since I just cannot find a happy result for designing the side barbette bases to look right for Magenta. Of course, with a little pushing I might redo Charles-Martel instead.

In any case, thank you, Mike for continuing with a build of one of my awkward models.

Carl

I'm not seeking those links, Carl...wondering if you might have picked up some sort of minor infestation?

I would agree with Simon and Papermodder, you might have been exposed to something unwittingly

The pleasure is mine Carl.
The hull frames are complex, interesting, and like no other.
But everything fits together like a “Patek Philippe”.

Interesting way of keeping the hull straight. I will have to remember that if I ever get brave enough to build a ship.

Carl, do you have plug-ins for your browser? For example, here is a thread regarding what you are seeing for the Firefox browser and a plug-in that caused the advert links: I have some sort of bug what underlines/links a random word in a page and then gives an add for Apple stuff, how do I get rid of this? | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support
