Excellent work. In my opinion the hull shape and camouflage scheme make Zuiho the best-looking IJN carrier.

I wonder if you have to be named "Greg" to build a model of Zuiho.

The Greg "only" model update So getting real close to done. I created my own deck brackets to hold the antenna's. Came out ok for a novice. I have a pic. I bent some 0.002gauge brass sheet, poked some holes, used small wire for the pivet point, and a bread wrapper tie, to provide some "spring" to that they can be lowered. I spared no expense. Really, it was no expense at all. LOL So long as I don't over use, they should be fine.

I assembled the mattrice radar and crane but won't glue them down. I just have for display while the ship is in lay-up.

Now its down to the fun part - all those stinkin airplanes. But a little here, a little more there, and they'll get done. Again, I don't think I'll make them all, for my version. This Zuiho is later in the war, say 1944, so the air groups are small by this time.

So some pics....

Sea Trials accepted

So it;s done, to my idea of the look I wanted. I even put on a Imperial bow crest although its hard to see. Pretty happy with it. Those planes are TE DIOUS. LOL But they do look good once done.

That is excellent work!!! It is hard to believe those planes are as small as they are. You did a great job on them.
