Light cruiser Muzio Attendolo JSC 1:400
Hi all,
after finishing the Graf Spee I started another cruiser, this time an Italian ship: The Italian light cruiser Muzio Attendolo was built from 1931 to 1935 in Trieste. It belonged to the „Condotieri” class cruisers. She has a length of 182 m, was 37 knots fast and had a complement of 650 men. During the war Muzio Attendolo screened Italian minelaying operations, escorted Italian convoys to Africa and sreened Italian supply routes to Albania. From 1942 she operated against British convoys. On 13.8.1942 Attendolo was torpedoed and damaged by a British submarine. After repairs she was sunk on 4.12.1942 in the harbour of Naples by bombs of US American aircrafts. The model is in scale 1:400 and comes from the polish company JSC. The hull is mostly finished, I now build the superstructure. Last thing added today was the bridge. Greetings Dieter |

Hi all,
and thanks to you, Mike. Yes, I like the 'elegant' shape of cruisers. Sometimes progress comes only in small amounts: some ventilators, skylights and parts of railing were added to the superstructure. Greetings Dieter |
