Thanks Tim and Doug, I am a BIG FAN of HVM kits, as a matter of fact, ordered another today. I also have the Bismark w/laser cut details and a few other little detail items from Poland for it. They are not for the faint of heart, true. But if one stays at it, a truly wonderful piece can be had. I have always been fascinated w/WWI Naval vessels, especially the ships from Germany. I also have the laser cut details and turned barrels for this one too. So follow along, and if you see something that need attention, by all means jump in.
Rick

I do want to give props to a individual here on the Forum: jabietz
By following and using Microsoft Translator on his Blog: www.jabietz.de I have a really good in-sider on the errors and corrections for building this kit. If I can but do 1/2 the quality of his build, I will be a happy camper. Following his lead and using the really good instructions/diagrams that comes with the kit, should be able to complete w/o too much difficulty. Believe me, as I said already, this is not a weekend build, this kit is made up of 2097 base parts, 3184 w/option parts and not counting 11 sheets of laser cut pre-colored parts, plus turned metal barrels and anchor chain. So as you can see, a very involved kit. I am debating just how to build: Full Hull or Water Line........even though @ this time I am working on the bottom half of the hull, may skip, go to upper half. What does the crew of PM suggest.............. Rick

How far along are you on the bottom half and how's it coming along? IF you're over halfway done and it's going well I'd say complete it and move on the the upper half.
