US Navy Oklahoma Salvage Model

An interesting photo I found while looking up information on USS Oklahoma, BB-37. A 1/192 cardboard model of the ship with internal details, built as an aid to Oklahoma's salvage operation in 1943. File:USS Oklahoma- Salvage 2-23-43, 964-43, Cardboard model (1-16"= 1') (completed 12-1-42) showing topside, and... - NARA - 296962.jpg - Wikimedia Commons

I'd love to attempt something like this, some year when I have the time and space for it. After all, if we can have a Trek refit Enterprise with internal details...

Fascinating that it wasn't declassified until 1983.

That is an awesome piece of history. It would be cool to see it recreated. Get the Time-Warping, Space-Making device warmed up!
