the railings start being being glued to cardstock
then glued back to back the top rail was bent by hand to shape then each post had to be trimmed carefully to fit time to give everything a coat of dull black and see how it came out |

small guns
the little ladders i cut down the sides to make them thinner and more like the illustrations in the book
then the "iron" straps for a hatch cover cut from paper, with little pieces of bamboo on the end for the hinge pivot the "bolts" are punched with a very small punch and applied with a little glue for the rear deck railings the guns are very small, from experience my problem will be making them to bulky after trying several things i settled on cutting the barrels from bamboo |
