gpm uss enterprise.
i am aware there was also talk awhile back that hmv were going to produce an enterprise kit????
ok simple question.if you were going to buy just one of these which would be the best?based on members experience or reveiws

The USS Forrestal by WMV is a older kit and as I remember it was available in the early 70's. I doubt that it has been redrawn or updated using a computer drawing program. The WMV Nimitz is a newer kit but The style of the WMV kits has not changed that much over the years and you may be disappointed with the style of these kits. The GPM kit is out of print and the second revision is dated 1998 this is before the use of computer drawing programs to design Paper models was common. I have not seen the kit but again you may be disappointed with the print quality.

The newer GPM flat tops are very good looking models. The USS Saratoga and the USS Lexington are stunning models.

There's a 1:700 (Nimitz class) USS Harry S Truman offered free here ...

But I suspect you are looking for something bigger.

I downloaded it to look at it's aircraft, but they are of simple 2D construction.

Herky,
It would be alot of work in up-scaling and detail, but there is Tekzo’s (Peri Paperhobby) Enterprise in 1:800. Also free.

paperhobby: USS Enterprise (CVN-65) 1:800

If you are looking for something a little different. Ecard models has a 1/200 Tarawa. I think she is 48" to 51" when finished.

At over 67", the deck alone would take 11 letter size pages. You got the space for this beast? It would be very cool, though. -J

oh yeah, happy b-day.
