FREE Hunt Type 2 HMS Avon Vale L06 (but not public domain)
The Hunt Type 2, HMS Avon Vale L06, in her (rather drab in comparison to Type 1 Cotswold) 1941 Mediterranean camouflage scheme. Gun turrets go in the A, X, and Y positions. The pom pom goes on its platform right behind the stack. In 1941, the searchlight platform was there - not yet replaced by the radar tower. These actually were named after fox hunts ... U-boats being the foxes, presumably.
I'll put the unreduced original on www.CoatneyHistory.com |

Thanks, Don.
When I've got the basic plan for the class, I can punch out the individual ships (in their individual warpaints) like cookies. Computer painting is A LOT easier, faster, cleaner, and less toxic than enamels. I've already done plans for leader Hardy and the H-class destroyers of Narvik ... as well as the German destroyers, the K class, and the Tribals. And China's Trumpeter has a beautiful 1:700 waterline kit out for Warspite. |
