Pardon me for saying this but, to my mind the hull could do with being printed on to thicker paper or perhaps card. The hull looks like it is warped, then again it might be time to change my optical prescription again. I hope not.

Thanks for the comments so far!

Mike, perhaps it would have been better to print the hull onto thicker paper.
It has been printed on 120 grams paper as are the other parts.
The hull might be a bit wavy, but it isn't as bad as it is with my other models.
So I am pleased with it.

Today I did some more work on this model, I replaced the anchor crane at the bow with a smaller one which would be more to scale.
Also the funnels are replaced with slightly larger ones, as they would have appeared on the Twin Screw Steamer Baltic. The masts may appear to look a bit off, but I think it's just the angle the image is taken in..

Also had done some rigging, but kept it to a minimum as, in my oppinion, to much rigging will ruin the appearance of this model in this scale.

Still some work need to be done, like the base, funnelsmoke and touching up some parts but we're almost there..

With regards,

Jerry

Looks good on the watery diorama base. Classic early 20th century liner.

That's cool. I really like the old liners, no doubt. Very nice, Jerry; and I did down load Olympic the other day. Will be giving it a try later on this year.

Nice looking steamer.
Don't worry too much about the wavy hull. Look at some pictures of steel hull ships in drydock. You can see the wavy hulls they have due to the pounding of the water on the hull that they experience when underway. In some cases you can even see the outline of the framing through the hull.

Rigging the funnels

Thanks for the comments and following this thread!.

A few days ago I was looking at my model standing on the shelf, I thought about extending the rigging a bit more.. So I removed the funnels, and build myself some new ones. Added the funnel rigging before assembling them. Then added them to the model and rigged them to the deck;

The rigging needs to be tightened here and there. But I will tend to that when the model is completed finished.

I also used a lighter background so the rigging could be seen better.

With regards,

Jerry

Thanks Rich, the build is almost finished, were almost there. It is very small indeed, but I actually intended it to be a bit smaller, like 1:1200 scale. The good thing about small models is that they don't need a lot of space when put on display.
