My JSC Fleet
Hi all,
As I mentioned in my posts in the First Cuts section, here's some pictures I took tonight (with the 'cheap' camera my wife keeps in her purse). I apologize for the quality of the pictures... I'll need to get out the good camera and take some better ones in the next few days. These are: 1) My recently completed HMS Humber, JSC 008 2) Mikasa, JCS 017 (my first JSC model) 3) Icebreaker Mikojan, JSC 045 4) Destroyer leader Tashkent, JSC 045 (still fitting out, i.e. not done yet ) 5) A shot of all completed ships in my JSC fleet, including USS Card The Mikojan used to have full rigging on it, but the cat decided that the thread was tasty and chewed off all the line, including the top of the mainmast. I took a couple other shots of USS Card, but they were so bad you couldn't see anything. Thanks for looking! Jim |

Thanks all for the kind words!
That is one very nice thing about the JSC kits... no lower hulls! :D Of course, that presents it's own challenges sometimes, like getting the thing to lay flat on the table. I'm still working on techniques to ensure that they don't warp, either end-to-end or from side-to-side. Working at the small scales (with simplified fittings) makes them fairly quick to put together, but still an enjoyable challenge. Jim |
