OK, I quit now (for the moment)

but some conclusions:
- there is picture evidence of PT-Boats in "Zebra Scheme" in the Mediterranean: PT-206, PT-207 and PT-208.
- studying the pictures some variation in the scheme is loud and clear: PT-206 and PT-208 have broader stripes (if that is correct english) than PT-207
- One photo shows PT-206 in the "Zebra Scheme" in late september 1943
- Colour slides taken in Bastia in 1944 show the boats in a two tone blue/grey scheme
- Some boats were "customized" with "bow art" and kill marks
- There is variation in applying pennant numbers (some boats don't have a number on the hull, some boats have the number painted on the deckhouse etc etc)

Haven't found any evidence of the "Zebra Scheme" in the English channel, this is because I haven't looked for it yet, but with the pictures provided in my previous post I'm pretty sure a lot of variations in schemes can be made

Hello. I really am hoping you are planning to continue these nnice little models. I came across a post you did on another subject where you said your models might be too simple. That is the beauty of them!! They are just detailed enough so a new builder will not find them difficult, but an experienced builder can add details to make really nice models. Please do not give up. I am so looking forward to the next ones with the enlarged engine room ventilator hatch and some interesting camouflage! Not to mention the torpedo...Please continue your fine work and do not get discouraged.

Adaptor Scheme Revised

Thank you for your support, really appreciated!

I didn't like the forward torpedo tube patterns and revised them. The first four pictures show the before and after. Also, I volumized the aft 20 mm gun pedestal and provided a shield.

I will continue designing torpedo boats but in the near future not for the US Navy. I need to find info on the Higgins Adaptor scheme used in the Mediterranean. So the new design will take some time, I need some research. If I have trouble, I know that I can contact Froude Man, Chicharrero, Wayne, Southwestforest, Rock55 or Don, thank you!

As for the late Elco 80', I recommend the Extra Model in 1/100 it is camouflaged and it has upgraded armament except for the rocket batteries. I can provide the volumized torpedoes in the near future. It is a reduction of 50% to 1/200, very doable (I build it in 1/400).

I understand completely that doing the same subjects over and over might become tedious. So I am looking forward to whatever your next projectl might be. Ther is certainly a lack of models in the area of the smaller craft, like landing barges and boats, sub chasers and etc. I do hope you will come back now and again to the PTs though. No lack of material there!! Good luck and I look forward to your next project.

Looks great! I always liked McHales Navy! And since the boat was actually a modified Vosper MTB, the folks who are into the British Coastal Forces will appreciate that one! I will be looking for this one when you are ready to release it!
