USS United States CVA-58 1:700

one of my modeler friend request , he found it on world of warships online games, it was the USS United States CVA-58, a new concept aircraft carrier after WW2.
Kinda odd, when I built the Douglas model 1186-c i didn't noted carrier on background.
Done some references and plastic model as guidence.

done unfolding and next :test build, hull and deck also inner deck , plan to set some of air group inside.

Interesting.
With no "island superstructure", it reminds me of a Japanese flat-top from WW2.

A logical development of your 1186/X-3 model.

A historic ship-that-never-was, cancellation of which in favor of the USAF B-36 led to the "Revolt of the Admirals" and a congressional investigation in 1949.

The ship with that futuristic air group is impressive!
