:-))))) I'm afraid that I got lost in our conversation :-)))) I cut the prototype parts for the test on the machine (laser), which stands 2 meters from my desk, 5 meters from the workbench, on which I glue the models in the room (30 sq m .), which is my studio and office. Do you want me to post a photo of the laser (device)? It is a machine mostly made of Chinese components, assembled in Poland (thus meeting all EU standards). Tube power 50 W, working area a bit larger than the A3 format. It works very well for cutting cardboard and plywood parts for a model. Greetings Tomek

Hi Tomek,
Yes, I would be interested in seeing a picture of the laser "in action"... At my work place we work with a Coherent GeoLasHD 40 W, wavelength: 193 nm excimer laser for ablating mineral surfaces for chemical and isotopic analysis... But we use only a fraction of its power. ...But that just on a side note... :D Looking forward to seeing more of your builds! -Radek

Hi Tomek,
what an amazing project. I saw the planned replica of the Zeven Provincien in Lelystad years ago before it was scrapped due to financial problems. It was fascinating to see the dimensions; and I was amazed by the nearly completely finished carvings of the stern. It is a pity that this demanding project came to such an undeserving end... But: I hope with all my heart that your ship will sail the seas and modelboards of many modellers. I wish to be among the first!! It really is looking great and absolutely promising... Hi everybody!
I had a long break in building, but in the meantime "Wodnik" was created, so I'm a bit excused. I went back to "De Zeven Provincien" and I just hope to finish the model without any more breaks or "side jumps". Apart from the huge amount of decorations, there is not much left to do on the hull itself: top planking, head, handrails ... I glued the bulwarks, added the decks and set up the bulkheads. The work is so simple that there is nothing to write home about. The head took more effort. Because the knee of the head narrowed and you can turn a blind eye to it with models of smaller vessels, but here the difference in thickness was so significant that I glued it together in a "box" form: long narrow triangles at the top and bottom are glued between the side surfaces and thanks to this, the thickness at the hull is ~ 4 mm and at the ends 2 mm. Cheeks and gammoning knee are typically made of cardboard of an appropriate thickness. Greetings Tomek
