I am happy that there is finally a kit maker who takes Dutch shipbuilding seriously.
Beautiful model.

Thank you colleagues for the warm feedback.

@ Ab @ It is "serious" thanks to your help and very valuable advice and tips.

It seemed to me that everything was ready and only creme de la creme remained, i.e. masts, rigging and sails. But it is a huge project and I had to bend over the anchors, lanterns and a second boat, towed behind the ship. Here again I'd like to thank Ab for the design of such a boat that he once gave me. So I made one anchor, tested one lantern ...

I put up the first masts with shrouds, loading tackles and stays. The bowsprit has found its place too, and now at least I know how big a stand and a display case I need to prepare. Unfortunately, building such details at the end of the entire project takes a long time, because suddenly I find that I am missing one or two parts the size of a coin. You have to draw them, print them, protect them with varnish and the next two hours "leaked between your fingers" (I do not know if there is such a saying in English, but it clearly illustrates the time that is running out, which cannot be slowed down or stopped in any way). In order not to waste your time, I invite you to take a look at the last photos:

... and height fitting together with flagpoles...

Greetings
Tomek

Congratulations! Saw on your website that this fine kit is now available.

Will you make a separate kit as well for the small boat om which abhovi made a contribution?

I had the privilege to receive a proof of this masterpiece. It is incredible that such a model is offered for a price as low as 30 euros. An absolute challenge for the serious paper model builder, and what a beautiful result!

Yes, it is a very beautiful model, but not for me sadly enough. I tried to do the rigging work on my 150 year old sail ship model a while back, but did not succeed, without proper rigging work these ships look not nice., so I decided not build the Zeven Provincien. My old model is back in our living room without rigging

Sorry Tomek, I like these models very much, but I am not able to build them, this antic sailing model I have was a test case for me, I tried several times to get the rigging right, as it was done on the real ships, I also used the book "Rigging period ship models" from Lennarth Peterson, but it was one big disaster. So "Duyfken" will also not be build, I think this kind of ship building is for guys like Ab Hoving etc. Or there must be another way to making the rigging look right, than I am open for advice !!

John MGD:

Why Not ? I don´t know, which ship you were rebuilding, but it is possible. I built the Anna Maria based on Ab´s advices and she looks quite good:

Just be patient.
