I haven't used a glass plate for building before. Do you always follow this procedure: base glued at spots to glass - keel - frames - deck - remove from plate I imagine you would normally have to remove it from the plate before attaching the side skin(s) of the hull? I am asking of course after I have tried assembling a hull without doing this! ...with the er unintended but predictable result! Would you recommend a particular type of glate (plate glass/ toughened etc??) Your help and any other comments about the method are really appreciated! Now it's time for the finish sprint .....
Now to the rigging, first glue at the lower points and let it dry well ... then tighten with clamps and glue again ... ... then cut off the excess threads ... now hoist the flags and the first tug is ready With the completion of the second tug this project is now finished after 61 hours of construction on 39 days of handicraft. It was a lot of pleasure to build both models in the usual HMV quality. A thank you to all of your fellow campaigners and for the numerous likes during the construction report. With kind regards from Styria Kurt |
