Japaneese Destroyer Yukikaze 1:200
Hi,
I decided to start my own build thread of Yukikaze destroyer. My model will present the ship from its latest configuration in 1945. Today, I present some old photos of hull assembly as I have started the model back in 2012. |

I like the multi media approach. The torpedo handling rails are fantastic. I always wondered how many men were lost due to tripping over those while tossing anout in the waves.

Hi,
After almost half of the year since my last post I decided to share with you my recent updates to the model. I have made many details of the main deck like funnels, cranes, ammo boxes and more. I have changed some details as I am making a 1945 version of a model while the kit presents the model from 1941. For wiring I am using 0,2mm copper wire. For painting I am using acrylic paint Pactra. There is still a lot of details to do. I am planning to make the model as close to the original ship as possible. See you next time. Jakub |
