Kirishima building - that 2-column conning tower!
For your own personal use you can make additional copies, of course, w&p.
Cardstock paper 1:1200 Kirishima test-build in progress. The complex (and *tiny* at 1:1200!) 2-part/2-column conning tower went perfectly. I had to hold the linking part with tweezers to prevent it tearing at either end, on occasion, but it held. It will look like an even higher pagoda, when the range finders - one of them taller to look over the other - are mounted. From the Hiei prototype, I learned to glue the boat deck (upon which the conning tower will be glued) onto the foredeck before gluing it to the rest of the hull/ship - to keep both absolutely level. |
