Excellent, like quite a few it seems I have this one in the stash and have been contemplating pulling it out...but those red decks always get me! Plus the fact that, being me, I'd have to add a full hangar deck too...

Nice work so far and I will be watching closely.

with maybe 1 or 2 cutting errors the formers are assembling true

and now i am glad i spent the time marking the alignment lines on the under side I will cut her free now and turn her over and glue her back down and start over for the hull bottom

that will be the really exciting part for me since it has been in the past where i fail in the hull assembly ( well i count the arizona as well even though i stepped on it ) lol

oh well on to the gluing

every thing is going so well, that i think i will try to do even better,
having seen some of the neat builds for ships us this technique,
i am going to scratch some rigs up out of 2mm card to make a frame for a perfect hull

it looks like i have it all correct and i am very pleased with how it will go together

only thing is since each one is scratch built for each cell it will take abit

but then since the hull is what has allways done me in im really gonna get serious about making this work out and possibly stretching my model skills
too bad i have to work tomorrow

oh yeah for got to take pic of finished hull formers lol got buzy modelin...

its the first time i have build a entire hull assembly and had it straight and true

im really happy with how it turned out

I notice a syringe is that for the glue? I can see why that be a good idea to not put to much glue on the card at one go?

yes its a syringe i pick them up at the hobby shop i go to.
its more convenyent and less messy to use, and i just have to put a thumb tack in the tip when done for storage, it works better for me..

lol no they dont understand paper models at work..

quick update

making the solid hull is going slow but very very well

its a allmost perfect fit

and since i now use a line of water to deform the stock at the bend
even that is becoming smooth

im really glad i take the extra time for such things

i really think it will make the model shine

oh yes my order of uhu glue came in

i made the misteak of trying to take the top off to fill my syringe
bad idea lol

it broke
well i have 5 more so i will try to use the bottle since it does have the nifty applicator

well time for work
