Just as a matter of interest, all the turbine powered British battleships from Dreadnought onward had twin rudders. As they all had four propeller shafts, twin rudders were required in order to force the vessels around in a reasonable turning circle under full power.

Next layer of superstructure has a fitment issue. As you can see from the photo two surfaces are too big. Better too big than too small, I'll just cut the excess off and carry on with the installation.

A common problem. Too long is as you say better than too short. But either way no big deal if you are painting your model. Check out my Kongo build from a few years ago. I manually made several pieces with eye ball and scissors on the hull and superstructure with great results since paint covered them up.

Have you protected paper before you started the build? Sometimes humid changes the paper parts if is not protected.

Paint can cover a lot of sins and rework. This model needs it for sure.
I don’t usually spray protect the paper either before or after the build. I realize that humidity can affect the size but those should only be minor changes. If the model will be displayed in sunlight, I will spray a protectant on the finished project to try and preserve the colours from fading. This is more of a problem with inkjet than laser print. Laser print doesn’t like to stay on at the folds. |

So I made a boo-boo on this last piece. I thought the structure sides were to follow the deck piece attached to it, hence being too long. Well, it turns out that part was correctly sized and was supposed to go under the deck piece somewhat. I had to take it apart there and re-add a long section to get the intended shape. Glad i'm painting this.

The egg shaped structure on top was a solid piece but this is a viewing/range finding deck I guess and photos showed viewing slots here, so that's what I gave them. Also added some steps to the back piece.

Where the heck is that "egg shaped" structure?!
LOL your build is continuing wonderfully...just trying to figure out where or what that last structure is? I can't find it on the boat.
