Gorch Fock - Schreiber - 1:200

Hello friends of the sailing ship type

With my next construction report I'm going back on the water.

I'm going to try the Gorch Fock from Schreiber.

This model building sheet is the revised new edition of the Gorch Fock...

There are around 300 parts on 5.5 sheets in the usual beautiful Schreiber Druck quality

A rigging plan is beautifully drawn... the sails are printed on both sides, so I'm really looking forward to building the sail training ship

Best regards
Kurt

That'll be an interesting build Kurt! I'll be following you. Good luck und viel Spass mit dem Bau.
I'm working on a refinery in construction at the moment with a lot of German contractors. Good opportunity to brush up my German, but the irony is that many of the Germans understand and at least speak some Dutch. They're right from just across the border....

Cheers,
Erik

Anxious to follow your build. One of my favorite ships. I have the sister ship by FlyModel.
1/200 would be very challenging for me, but I have to admit it will make a very attractive
model.

Following with interest. I've always liked the lines of these barques. Someday I would like to build one myself and convert it to the USSCG Eagle since it is a sister ship (formerly Horst Wessel).

This will be a good one to follow, I'm sure. Personally interested to see the masts and rigging being done.

Hello everyone ,

It starts with the first structural unit, the hull (upper water part)

Stick parts 1 - 15 and 3 - 6 onto the enclosed cardboard (0.75 mm)...
... connect the longitudinal frame 1 + 1a with part 2, with a length of 41 cm the frame frame will be quite large

Thirteen transverse frames glued together... installed in the rear parts 3-6

Sincerely
Kurt

Thanks Bluenoser. Apparently I'm having a senior moment as I asked the same question on your thread three years ago :>)
