Kurt,

For a normal ship model where do you place your glue spots and how regularly do you place them?

Thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan ,

I only place my glue spots on the strips and not on the frame

Continue with parts 27 ... the chimneys , prepare the first ...

... and build together ... both segments ready ...

... and put on

Sincerely
Kurt

Hi Kurt,

Sorry - I didn't really understand what you meant....!
I was asking about your method of sticking the 'base plate' (waterline area) of a typical ship hull to the plate of glass, to prevent banana-ing of the hull...?
Maybe just 2 spots of glue towards the front and 2 towards the aft, at the edges where you can easily cut them later..?

Thanks for your patience!
Alan

Hello Alan

I'm sorry, I misunderstood that at first
so I put small drops of glue ( 1mm ) on the underside of the base plate / waterline about 1 to 2 cm apart along the outer edge and a few in the middle if the hull is a bit wider .

To remove I use a full blade of a cutter demolition knife. This is quite simple .

I hope to have helped you with this

Best regards from Styria

Hello! For us Hungarians the I world wartime Helgoland cruiser class is dear, also from the Novara cruiser. After all, it was on it that the Hungarian Miklós Horthy, the later governor, sailed and won a victory against the Italian fleet before Otranto. That's what I want to build soon. Congratulations on your beautiful and thorough, careful work! Here, too, patience is the most important thing!
