With some trepidation another SD14

I have been looking at the model and the builds for a long time and could not quite make up my mind to attempt it, but here goes.
I am only going to attempt the bow. I don't have the storage room for the whole monster
or the chops to build it.
The model appeals to my engineering mind because of the completeness of the structure. I feel like the chief engineer on the building project.
Two hours in and a lot of slots to cut out.
cheers Jim

This is the first sheet of frames just stuck in, not glued.
And the second sheet ready to be chopped up.
As always with slots it is a good idea to make them a little longer than the plans show.
cheers Jim

good luck with your build

hi all,
I haven't got much done since the last post. This model is as labor intensive as the actual ship.
The next sheet has all but the last 2 frames. After that the longitudinal frames and the hold floor.
cheers Jim

cutting those frames out is a slog, especially the midsection ones.

Thanks all,
I do enjoy the slog.
All of the frames are fitted and glued and starting on the longitudinal floor supports.
cheers Jim
