Hi Kurt,
Great progress so far. Like you I also have trouble with the hull sides. I've been using a Styrene Spitfires idea of using a sheet of glass to spot-glue the base plate and keep it perfectly flat until the skeleton is in place, or as late as you can leave it before cutting it off. Learned the hard way doing Scaldis's Statendam. I reckon if the skeleton is bang on flat then I should be able to apply the pre-shaped skin with more accuracy. I've already got another Statendam on the desk to go again! (Eventually!) Regards, Alan |

Thank you folks!
I have another photo I've been trying to post for a few days but get locked out each time I try. Take care, Kurt |

Hello,
The Stefan Batory is finished. I used the laser-cut davits for the lifeboats and some thin plastic rod for antennas, flag staffs, and the aft mast. I did not do much rigging because it's hard on my eyes, these days. Included is a photo of the Stefan Batory with the Batory, another nice JSC kit which I finished about 2 years ago. This was a fun kit to build! Best regards, Kurt |
