Isaac, both are excellent models.

Nice designs Martinair, you're fortunate to have Isaac do your beta builds for you.

Is there someone who dares to design these models in a 1/250 scale with lots of details and not so simple like this ones......

I guess we will be waiting as well.

being a slab sided ship, I don't think it would be too difficult. As far as details, I suppose making the side rails and adding all the radar domes and antennas as well as the life boats is where the detail would be.

but then again, I am not a designer.

Excellent builds outside your usual line of country.

As an old 1:1200/1:1250 collector and reader of Ships and the Sea and of Model Maker and Model Boats in the 1950s and 60s, I have always thought that 1/600 is a good choice for ship modeling.

Do I see it right ? Issac is now a ship guy ? No kidding. And pretty good at it too. Congrats on your two cruise ships. Don't forget life boats though.

Thanks Don.

I do love boats, but building them was never my thing. However, I am open to sail the new horizons.

As to the scale of 1:600, it is a good compromise from tiny boats and larger ones .

here they are on top of my Indian art hanging in the hallway at home

Thank you. I would still use the term beginner when it comes to boats.

They came out nice. Your boats were an inspiration to me.

Yes, I will add the life boats later. Going on a road trip for two months. So after that.

Enjoy the warm ( hot ) weather in Toronto.

Nice builds, Isaac! Building models outside one's comfort zone is always a good experience and an opportunity to learn new skills.

Thanks Erik

I am open to some new topics.

In the distant past, I did the birds, a few tanks, a small train, some Sci-Fi flying things. And then I stopped and concentrated mostly on jet planes.

It is all fun.
