I am unable to help with references unfortunately but I greatly look forward to the model and would love to see you post progress shots of the design and test build.

Interesting subject Jules....though I too cannot find any blueprint or 3 view drawings of the ship. Plenty of photos online though.

Like the USS Eldridge, USS Slater also belonged to the Canon class of destroyer escorts
see
http://www.ussslater.org/
in particular
USS Slater, E-TOUR
and links.

USS Gendreau belonged to the Buckley class which had the same standardised hull with relatively small differences in the superstructure. It is one of the subjects of a Profile Morske publication.
See N-1 well down the page at
bookshop

I have not actually seen this publication but think it might give sufficient information, particularly the hull shape.

I do hope you succeed with this project.

Are you going to do it with crewmen embedded in the decks and bulkheads, and that weird green glow around the edges of the superstructure? That would be really cool.

The Philadelphia Experiment has always been one of my favorite areas of interest...

Jules, the USS Eldridge became the HN leon one of four Cannon class DEs serving for more than 40 years with the Hellenic (Greek) Navy.

I am seding you a number of refference photos plus a model of the Modelismo Naval Uruguay which has a paper model of a cannon class ship!

HELLENIC NAVY - LEON D-54 (1951-1992)
HELLENIC NAVY- IERAX D-31 (1951-1991)
HELLENIC NAVY Destroyer type "Wild Beasts "
HELLENIC NAVY - PANTHER D-67 (1951-1992)
