The gallion sides are on theirs places already.
And, as you can see, I overworked and finished all of handles and some small parts on the ship. I think the bow looks much more better now.
Now I´m working on some small parts ( closing of the balconies, etc... ) and preparing some things for the decks equipment.

Here are some today´s photos.

Looking wonderful Jan.
One thing about old sailing vessels: the hulls are always works of art.

Thanks a lot, friends.

Just some updates: I was working on the entries on the decks, improved them and add the gratings, measuring them piece by piece.
There are several ways how to place the gratings - maybe - right, but I chose the way like Doris, not like other publishers and not by the way of Mc Kay. If you have a doubt, please search for some plans of 1650´s ships, or - there is the one ship, which survived. Vasa. This was a span of decade of Sovereign.
Now I´m continuing with the fronts of superstructures.

I like the four levels of decks, leading to the stern, as seen in images 4 and 5 . . . very elegant.

Fronts are placed.
It took me a while, mainly to decide how to make the back part of the forecastle.
There are some different solutions, I decided to build it by Mc Kay - see the first and the last picture. I think Culver has the same solution... I think it´s not the same like on the quarterdeck, because it could be visible on Van Velde and Payne´s portraits.
But....today nobody know.

A small update.

I made windows and doors... now I´m sure I had to build this ship in the bigger scale. It could be more detailed. I tried to do some sculptures - the smallest are 1 - 1,2 mm wide. But I tried to make some of them in the forecastle, they are about 2 mm wide - and it looks much more better I have to train a lot

The clay sculpting work for the decorations is always fascinating.
I'm sure it is difficult. But after they are painted, they look marvelous.

Some parts added
At first I want to equip decks because of better manipulation, these small sculptures are quite fragile.
Then I want to make a railing, but now I have no idea how to make it from carton . It´s quite complicated. But I´m sure I will come up with something
