More beautiful maritime models!

I spent a lot of time in East Asia and have seen a lot of junks and sampans, and sailed in a few, but never learned too much about them, so (as always) I learned a lot from your model and this thread.

I hope you keep on doing research and building models.

Once again absolutely brilliant models. The Orient is a wonderfull uncharted territory exspecially all the everyday trade vessels. I found some years ago few paper models of ancient Korean warships, I have to dig them up now.

Back in early March I showed some models from outside of my comfort zone. Some terrible months followed, but I am back again with a repaired heart. To celebrate Emiel surprised me with this 'encounter between maritime cultures in tropical waters'. It works very well as a desktop screen...

Forum Member and master model builder and maritime historian Ab Hoving is the subject of an article in the latest issue (68-2) of Nautical Research Journal, a venue in which the work of our fellow Forum member David Sakrison also appears from time to time.

The issue is not yet available at the Nautical Research Guild website (Nautical Research Guild - Nautical Research Journal) but should appear soon.

And . . . regarding your interview by "The Nautical Research Journal", I assume that was prior to your medical procedure?
