Paddlesteamer "Adelaide" - 1/100 scale
Paddlesteamer Adelaide is a kit from World of Paper Ships, one of the three Murray River (Australia) paddlesteamers offered by WoPS. The kit presents the boat as a tourist boat -- its current use. I wanted a working boat, so I omitted a few modern fittings and added some freight to the foredeck. I scratch built the stand using "water" from an online texture library and building papers from Clever Models.

At the Midwestern Model Ships & Boats Contest held last weekend at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, Adelaide took a Gold Award.

The kit is a waterline model. The paddles were part of the optional laser-cut set and already cut at the waterline.
