upgrading the wood puzzle sailing ship.

so for under $3 I got one of those 3d laser cut tab and slot fit plywood sheet models. It went together easily enough but the hull looked like the internal from one our kits. I decided to skin it with paper strips of wood chink print boards. I think it really adds to these models. I all some rigging too.

I wish to congratulate you on your solution to cover the exposed formers.


I also congratulate you on how well you did it. No ribbing! I have yet to avoid ribbing on any of the models I have built that involve formers.

1) use 65# paper.
2) print a second set, 3rd, ... set of skin at 101%, and skin it a second time. This one I did literally one plank at a time, and some of the parts of the skin are done over 2-4x to smooth the curve or remove a seam.
