(something I have, for the first time not done in my latest build because somebody told me not compare paper models with plastic or wood models).
________ Huh? really, who cares? The models are the builders models first. I never considered myself to be anywhere as good as some of the modelers here but I am solid and I use whatever means I can to try to make my kits as best I can. If that means filling, sanding, painting, making masts from styrene rod, brass rails etc, so be it. The purest ideals are foolish in my humble opinion. I built this kei years ago and didn't needs to fill, sand or paint the lower hull and it worked out great but if I were to build it again I definitely would add sub structure, plate, fill, sand and paint her. |

This was the first time (and last) I have ever made a full bottom skin to fit on the structure.
This is also the fist time I have filled in the hull frames with balsa (I do like this and will probably do that again). I don't mind trying different methods to find something that appeals to me. Found a little of each on this occasion. |
