Modelik's Konigsberg

Recently completed Konigsberg a 2006 published model from Modelik. The kit took me about 7 weeks to complete. It's not complicated but has virtually no instructions, minimal assembly images. A lot of "this must go here" assembly. That said, I filled the hull with balsa for a smooth structure. In a rare occurrence I chose to not cut out the superstructure windows or any port holes. The model has almost no internal structure, so I used self made frames throughout which made opening the windows nearly impossible. All that said, shes a decent model. The actual kit does not reflect here image on the cover but another period when she had no scout plane and unique aerials on the funnel.

Now onto both Bumagi Kaga and Angraf Akagi in a dual build.

Another magnificent model. Good looking light cruiser, and interesting with the asymmetrical 15cm guns aft.
