Disney's Wicked Wench

One on the models I have done for ModelKraft later this month in Milton Keynes. I know that it is something that the children will really enjoy. It is the Wicked Wench from the Disney site, the first name of the ship that became the Black Pearl in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I loved making this and I think the water and stand really set it off well (a mirror) and as it is all stuck down well it should also protect it for the day... . My printer only prints really thin card, so with hindsight gluing thicker card behind and between sheets would have been good. It was really fun to do though. I used Beadsmith Knot-it Natural Brazilian Wax Cord from amazon. It looks like real rope, though it is a bit thicker that thin black cord.

What a great looking model. The display base really adds to the visual impact.

Very nice model and thanks for the tip on the rope. I will have to get some of that and try it.
