Dutch 17th Century "Smalschip"
Hello,
Like to show you my latest model, this time not Japanese, but my new passion, a Dutch 17th Century "Smalschip". I like to thank Ab Hoving for his help and advice in building this model. He helped me passing the big hurdle I had to start building a historical ship model. Now to the pictures, I hope you like them, here we go !! |

Well done Jan, congratulations.
This is the model I use in my new book as an introduction to scratch-build paper models. I don't know when it will be in the shop, but I'm sure it will be within a few months. Ab |

Hello John,
Lovely work with your Dutch "Smalschip". Excellent photos. I hope this first sailing ship is not the last. Mike |

Excellent work! Allow me to say that similar to the old Dutch painters, the master shipbuilder has taught his master student. Indeed, looking forward for more!

Very nice. I like the rigging. Rigging always seems like a work of art to me.
