Dutch 17th Century "Smalschip"

Hello,

Like to show you my latest model, this time not Japanese, but my new passion, a Dutch 17th Century "Smalschip".
I like to thank Ab Hoving for his help and advice in building this model. He helped me passing the big hurdle I had to start building a historical ship model.
Now to the pictures, I hope you like them, here we go !!

Well done Jan, congratulations.
This is the model I use in my new book as an introduction to scratch-build paper models.
I don't know when it will be in the shop, but I'm sure it will be within a few months.

Hello John,
Lovely work with your Dutch "Smalschip".
Excellent photos. I hope this first sailing ship is not the last.

Excellent work! Allow me to say that similar to the old Dutch painters, the master shipbuilder has taught his master student. Indeed, looking forward for more!

Cheers,
Erik

Very nice. I like the rigging. Rigging always seems like a work of art to me.
