Smile [scratch] 1/72 Vietnamese river gas filling station

Hello!

Except the hull, which is a part of a computer, everything comes from paper.

The materials:
- plastic from a computer for the hull,
- thick hard card for the jambs of the roof,
- thin card for the floor and the roof
- thin lead leaf for the rivets on the hull
- corrugated card for the roof
- acrylic paints
- The gas drums are in plastic and coming from armoured models
- pipe is electric wire
- a viet-french dictionary for the sign.

It took me 3 hours of work.

Voilą, c'est tout...that's all folks!

Question How?

Thanh, nice work. Would you describe how you made the corrugated roofing panels, please?

Thanks!

Very well done! And quickly, too - are you adding this to a larger diorama?

Hi!

The corrugated paper is a part of a cookies' box.
I only glued it on a thin papercard.
Then, acrylic paints brushed on it.

Best regards,

Thanh thuy.

Thanks a lot!

I certainly shall do an 'ephemere' diorama (built for a very short while, or part of a wargame tour), using some of my boats.
I did a PBR, a sampan, a river tug, a trawler and some french armoured LCVP.
Thus, if a wargame takes place in Indochina era, it will be with french army's material, if it is a vietnamese wargame, I shall use the 'Pibber'.

If I do pictures, I shall send them.

Regards!

Thanh Thuy.

Nice little boat. I believe this is the kind of paper you used for the roof?
