Troubles with the Site?
Hi all,
I am writing this because we, Jason and I, have noticed that when people register they either email one of us for activation(not a problem, glad to help out) but this could be a simple fix for most if not all people. When you registered here with us at Papermodelers.com, you might have seen a screen, telling you to activate your account by reading the email that we would have sent you. Haven't gotten an email from webmaster at papermodelers.com ? Check your spam filter/folder, the email might been bounced right into that folder. Also, those members who have not gotten an activation request from us, and use SBC Global for their Internet Service Provider, please check with them, as to why email from papermodelers.com might be blocked. As always, any trouble, requests, gripes, moans, and assorted whatnots, Holla at ya boy.... Rick

Not enough "core members" who contribute free models and too many hangers on who contribute nothing, makes your forum "top heavy"

Ok, not really a trouble with the site.
Just so you know Brooker, most of these people have migrated from Zealot/cardmodels.net and who like to post build reports and talk about the techniques and history of a model in subject. The members here are members of multiple paper model related mailing lists and forums, the mailing list over on Google is great for getting the latest models which are released, cardmodels.net is great for those just starting off in the hobby, and papermodelers.com is a place for those who want to delve a bit deeper into the historical, technical, detailed side of the hobby. We do have members who contribute to the free model hunt. And I do not discourage that practice, I have been known to add sites. Rick

Do I contribute nothing if I don't post free models?

You all contribute a lot to my enjoyment!! I may not post often, but I stop by at least once a day to look, read and learn.
Later, Fred Z.

Yeah, Carl, where the heck is your free model link of the month? Stop jamming up the site with those museum quality builds, amazing designs and useful tips and tutorials. We need more free paper cowbell!
BTW - I have recently found the Buddy/Ignore feature of this site to be most rewarding. |

I must contribute the least, as I don't design any models, contribute half-ass builds and rarely link to free models as I generally build printed kits
There's an ignore feature on the board? Huh - will have to check that out. Learn something new every day!
