Thumbs up Happy 16 Year Anniversary Papermodelers.com

Our community is now over 16 years old. A lot has changed since we started back in June, 2007.

In those 16 years we have grown to become the largest English language forum dedicated to paper and card modeling on the internet. Having had members from virtually every continent on earth.

But now we can celebrate, if there are any suggestions as to how, let us know. Would you want to see contests, giveaways, challenges, a fancy banner on the top left logo? Let us know.

Come join us and celebrate 16 years of papermodelers.com

Hopefully we are around for a few more years.

Jason

I joined on 27 July 1907, so that will be 16 years, for me, too.

It has been great to be a member of this Forum. I've made many friends and learned a lot over the year. Many thank to you Jason, and to the administrators who keep this Forum running - especially my friends, the late Rick Steffers and the still very much alive Ray Smith (Texman).

This seems to be as good a place as any to post this, a history of paper modeling in the US, from the time of John Hathaway to the near present. A lot of familiar names are mentioned.

That article is more of a history on H&B Precision Card Models then on the "history of paper modeling in the US", but it was a good read. thanks for posting.

Smile

I am proud to be part of this history I joined Papermodelers with a few months of forum in 13-11-2007.

A lot of fantastic modelling works, a lot of learning and an environment that is always at the highest level. Congratulations to all of you. Here we show that a world of cooperation is possible. As well as making lots of friends! I feel happy and proud to be part of this story practically from the beginning. A big congratulations to the entire moderation and administration team for maintaining this important space for so long, to the point that they are the great reference that it is today.

Happy Birthday

Looks like the birthday party is underway. Thanks Jason.
I joined in late 2008, and was not aware that the site was just over a year old.
My purpose was to simply look at the pictures. But the quality of the work compelled me to begin leaving comments of encouragement.

Note: I couldn’t resist the idea of searching for the first “Picture Of The Week”.
Correct me if I am wrong Jason, but I came up with this image from Novemeber of 2007:
It is Millennium Falcon built by Gomidefilho.
