This is Compassrose. I'm a new member. I built two paper model ships 10
years ago. These were my first and second successful attempts. Three
other before that ended in failure but I kept trying.

I'm in the process now of converting my favorite paper model ship, the arctic supply ship NELLA DAN from 1/250 scale to 1/350 scale and rendering it in plastic sheet.

I like the wide and unusual variety of ships available in paper.

I forgot to mention, my two successful attempts above destroyed when I relocated to my present address.

Welcome to the fold! Thats the beauty of paper - print and build it again!

Do your ship models include a Flower-class corvette?

Love the acronym (after 28 years of service you get pretty creative).

However, PASA is a bit obscure if it's the only header for the category - recommend either spell it out (Paper Aeronautics and Space Administration) or add the more traditional "real space" after it.

BTW - is it real space or sci fi/fantasy if it's set for launch in 2015; or if they haven't bent metal yet?

Yogi - OK, never mind/you done did it already. Either you are supremely fast or I missed the change when I logged on.

Personally I think anything meant to be built at some point counts as real.

Hmmm - to me "The Armory" implies you would find weapons there like guns, grenades and whatnot. I am not sure what you would call the location to store your AFV's

Motor pool is another, weaker possibility. Shrike is right about laager. I wonder though how many people will know what it means when they first encounter it in the Downloads area?
