Passing of Rick Steffers

I am very sad to have to say this, but our friend and admin
Rick Steffers (rickstef) passed away last Sunday.

Rick was a mainstay of the paper modeling community, one of the key
administrators of the Paper Modelers' Forum, active with the
International Paper Modelers Convention, and one of the four founding
members of the Paper Modelers at Army Heritage Days Event.

I do not have any additional information at this time, however I
will let you know of any additional information.

I have lost a great friend and modelling companion. We have known each
other for about 20 years, administrating and moderating paper model forums
all the way back to Cardmodels.net days. We have been in person friends
for almost 11 years now, conversing almost every day, getting together as
often as possible to enjoy museums, modelling events, food and friendship.

You will be missed greatly my friend.

He was so committed to the forum and the hobby. Jeepers, he was even on here on his last day. Always positive, in spite of us. Really gonna miss him. Pass on condolences, please

What a shocker. He was active here till his final days.
Rick was an enthusiastic and dedicated supporter of this forum. Irreplaceable is the best word. He will be missed.

One of the people who elevated our hobby, and Ray says he was a good person and his word is good enough for me. Condolences to his family on a great loss. If you’re the type who prays, keep Rick’s family in your prayers.

Not something anyone would want to hear, as Rick will be sorely missed. He was truly committed to his hobbies and passed away way too young.

I can't believe this. First Kevin and now Rick. I've known Rick for probably as l long as you. I haven't talked to him in about a month (last meeting I attended), but wasn't aware of any illness. My prayers for the family.
