I have at last made contact with Foxit admin. They've asked for a copy of the PDF so they can dig deeper. The suggestion being that it might be summat to do with layers.

As to the car, it still won't let me in, but via the web I have found out that it is a KNOWN fault. Might have to break the lock, but I now know how and where to welly it without doing too much damage.

Not much chance of going down the 'Claims' route though ... the car is 27 yrs old. There's plenty of them in the breakers yards, but due to the nature of the fault, I'll probably be better off going for a new one.

Johnny.

Still no advance on the Foxit problem, but I have managed to get the car door open.

Trying to point a torch down the glass slot, poke the lock with a 15" wire spoke, AND get your eye in a position to see where you're poking, ain't easy, but "Click" and the door jumps open.

Open /close/open/close, everything seems OK.
Operate central locking with key ... good, good, good.
Unlock with key ... Oh dear! Poke with spoke again.

Temporary answer... leave car unlocked.
Order new Lock mechanism. (ouch!)

Johnny.
