Early in the thread, you thought you might forsake the nagware burdened version of Windows that came from the manufacturer and buy a clean copy of Windows. Since then, it has become clear that the money you paid for the license is just that, a license fee. The media is now available for download, and the license number on the sticker will activate it. The trick (wouldn't be fun if there were not trick) is that there are several flavors of each version of windows, so read the little hologram label carefully. Even then there seems to be some randomness involved, on some version you can choose 32 or 64 bit versions. Some versions even call it something besides OEM (original Equip Manufacturer). Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit ISO Download? - Microsoft Community seems to provide some sources.

This any good to you Whulsey? Only 17 copies left now though.
The link goes straight to the order form. Scroll up to see the advert.
I haven't read it myself ... I'm still firmly in the XP camp.

Just needed to whine a bit about it. After stepping away for awhile think the problem might be more IE then W7. Anyway getting ready to head out the door to Morro Bay-SLO (a few museums and shows also) and forget about computers, buses and riders for 2 weeks.

One of the few things I don't feel strongly about - at least since MS went with an NT based engine under the windows shell (no more blue screen of death!). IBM OS/2 anyone?
Apple knows what you need better than you do, LINUX requires you know what you're doing, Windows is bloated with add-ons, and preferences for individual applications seem to be mostly based on what you're used to.
I will say the Windows 8 app screen (just did my decadal computer system upgrade) is silly on a desktop -

I assume you mean, how do you reply to a craigslist ad?

When replying to an ad on craiglsit, you reply directly through email.
At the top left of every listing is a link for "direct email"
Click this link and an email window will open.
This email is being sent through the email program you have installed on your computer.
A program like Windows Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc

If you don't use an email program on your computer...for example, you use GMail...
then click the Reply button and it will give you a list of Email options.
Choose the service you normally use at it will open that mail server for you.
(You will probably need to log into your Email server...and you may need to copy and paste the link (shown at the bottom of the drop down list) into your email)

Windows 7 crashes are a major problem Microsoft users have been clamoring about lately. The system crashes randomly - right after login, in the middle of playing a game, while working on a file, and during web surfing, among others.
