Bump and Alpha maps on Metasequoia...

Hi all!
In Metasequoia, I am not able to add bump or alpha maps (jpeg, or other allowed format) to a texture. It seems that it does not have any effect on the texture.
Where is the problem?

Thanks for your help!

It can't do bump maps, never have been able to get bump maps to work in it, but the alpha maps should work.
Go to view in the menu and make sure "show precisely" is ticked, just click it if it isn't.
The alpha won't work unless it's ticked.

Thank you for the help.
Ok for the alpha, but for the bump, in the material window ("mapping" section) there is the place where to insert the filename...

Yes I know, if you set a bump map metasequoia will even 'render' the bumpy texture in the top left window, try it, but I have never managed to get it on screen or in the render window, it's like the code is there to do it but something is stopping it being rendered in the main screen.
Use 3DSMax for bump mapping
