I used to use Firefox and Chrome, but occasionally gave me problems, had to clean the cache and update the plug-in, now I use Opera and it works very well, even I have the other browsers just in case.

Thanks for all of the advice. This weekend I will try removing and replacing Flash and see what happens. I already clean out my user history on a regular basis, and have used ccleaner and autorun to get rid of startup programs that don't seem to serve any purpose. I think there might be a conflict between FF and Winpatrol, on my computer FF slows down when Winpatrol is doing a check up.
Thanks again to all.

(PS I have not used Opera in awhile, I might have to give it another try)

I agree! Chrome seems the best of the lot, and faster, too. I've given up on Firefox, and IE is a disaster, IMHO.

but the ram footprint for each chrome process is small
and you can kill each one of those, with out affecting the others and other tabs you have open.
which always a problem I had with IE, you killed the entire browser if you stopped something.

Here is an article on upgrades between Chrome and Firefox, which could explain some issues we have been experiencing

Thanks for the interesting article. In addition, Firefox has been experiencing some interface problems with programs such as Real Player, which can disable the video function.
