New version is out: PDO tools (currently only the Windows build is updated)
Added:
  • texture wrapping (repeated texture) support
  • material color support (for untextured faces)
  • SVG: fix unescaped 'less than'/'greater than' characters in text export

Yes, I have to figure that one out: sometimes Pepakura displays other color than what I guess to be the material color, and sometimes it doesn't show texture where I guess it should.

New version is out: PDO tools
Many SVG export improvements this time:
  • improved part outlining
  • added smooth texture filtering
  • much faster SVG export
  • fixed color of materials with no texture
In preparation: flaps export.

Feedback appreciated There are some rare issues with tiny triangles in SVG export, I'm working on fixing them; new version coming soon.

Also: anybody interested in pdf export? Possibly with higher quality than printing from Viewer through a pdf printer; and available on non-Windows systems too.

By all means, if you can make it work, please do it. I'm sure MANY of us will find this useful.

Blender Scripts

Hello IMCOLD,

you 've done an incredible job!!!

My full respect !!!

I've a question not exactly belonging to PDO or Pepakura, but i think, someone, who can write a sophisticated program converting pdo Files to svg could also be the man, i could ask for my problem.
I'm using Blender for modeling.
I don know whether you know Blender, the programm is structured in a modular way. By adding Python Scripts, you can add functions to the programm. There were also some scripts for paper modelers, especially for Unfolding meshes (for example: Czestmyr's Homepage - B_paperizer)

Since the upgrade for Python 3 and the Blender Version 2.5 these Scripts no longer can be used. There is no unfolding Script now in the newer Blender Versions!

My question now is, do you use Python, and qould you write an unfolder Script for Blender or at least modify existing Scripts ?

I'am sorry when i have bothered you, but you seem to me the only man i could ask for this matter!

I wish you a nice day

Yours sincerely

The Oldenburger
