.MAX conversion?

I need help. I'm trying to modify someone's paper model, but the source model he created is in .MAX format and according to what I've read online only 3DSMax can open this format, and I don't have it. What's more, the free student trial edition doesn't want to install on my computer either.

just downloaded the files and it includes a pdo format file as well as a max file .... what format do you want it in?

3DS, or whatever's compatible with Metasequoia. I want to do a few custom manes and accessories.

I'd suggest Milkshape 3D. It's my favorite design program, and it's free for 30 days. Here it is...

It can easily convert 3DS max to and from about 100 different 3D formats.

the max file included is ONLY two different faces,and the back-end for the pony and NOT the whole pony..so you would only get that

Ask the original author for the model in a different format, that's the best solution.

In the meantime - if there only was a way to convert the pdo to different format... Oh wait, there is!
